A true local diner experience. Everyone says hello and goodbye to each other. A counter seat entertains by being able to watch the cook do her magic on the grill right in front of you. The food was delicious with the best crisp hash browns I've had in ages!
What can I say about this diner? My wife & I recently took a 1,670 mile in state road trip for our 30th anniversary trip. We were looking for a restaurant/diner for breakfast on our way back from Ishpeming & I found this place on Google & said why not. They surely didn’t disappoint. My wife & I both had the french toast. Everything tasted wonderful. The place was great with a wonderful atmosphere. I would HIGHLY recommend this place to anyone in the area. We will return next time we are in the UP. Thank you for everything!!!
Had breakfast this morning at Rosy’s as we passed through Escanaba. The owners immediately made us feel welcome and happy to see us. Food was real, cooked perfectly, delicious. Loved the entire experience. We will definitely go again whenever we are in the area!
We noticed this small café New Year's Day, they were closed so we knew we'd stop in prior to our 6+ hr drive home. Place was busy. Limited seating, long wait for food as they were BUSY! We STAYED anyways. ❤️ And thankfully so! Greeted with a smile! Maddie, the Cook is calm and charming and man 'O man....she can cook well! Myrna [if thtis is her name], the Server is attentive and kind and allllll over the place attending to ALL! They operate like an extremely well oiled machine! From the back of the House to the Front! Communication is KEY in such a small establishment and with MANY hungry Guests wanting to eat and THEY have that polished! We ordered and then I seen another meal prepped for another Guest and thought, shoot, I should have ordered the French Toast. Then another meal was prepared and I thought, dang it... I should have ordered the cheeseburger & fries. Tommy's chili is yummmmmm, so I ordered correctly! Escanaba YOU are a charming town and we hope yo return soon!
Stopped in for breakfast on a Sunday in August, atmosphere was local and welcoming. Food took a minute cause the place was busy but WORTH it! We got an Omelette and a Poutine and WOW, I just can’t say enough good stuff about the food and the service!!! Check it out if you’re in town and tip the staff generously, these people hustle and bustle during the tourist season to accommodate people so plz tip!!!
Small town locals breakfast and lunch restaurant with 6 tables and counter space for 25. Really good omelettes. Best corned beef hash I ever had. Hash browns are well done as I like. Nice staff. Friendly folks. Cash only with ATM inside. No outdoor seating, alcohol drinks, or pets allowed.
The owner is the coolest person I know! Lol We ate breakfast there a week ago today and it was amazing. Service, atmosphere and food is fantastic. Limited seating and old school diner kitchen, so plan ahead to possibly wait for a seat and for your tables turn to have it's food cooked. I promise you, it is 100% worth the wait. While you are waiting the service's wit and charm is entertaining. Also you can never go wrong with your soda in old school glass bottles. Great experience and will most definitely be visiting again.
The perfect place for all of your breakfast favorites. I always love the pipin' hot diner coffee from the Bun. Busy spot and for a good reason, the food is great! I always appreciate a flat top short order cook who works with precision and efficiency. Food comes out quick an DC in perfectly filling portions. The entire staff is friendly and attentive. My server Sam was great! For an early Sunday morning she greets everyone with a smile and bright energy. Definitely coming back next time I'm in town.
We decided to try this place while visiting from out of state. The food here is by far one of the greatest meals I've had. The food is handled with great care and presented very well. Try the special as the sandwich in the photo was their San Fran Breakfast Sandwich. I would suggest having the sandwich added to the menu. We look forward to stopping in the next time we are in the area.
I have found my new favorite breakfast spot in Escanaba! Rosy's Diner is absolutely amazing. I love the small town/homey atmosphere. Service was great, food was delicious. I'm definitely going there more often.
